MEC Vadi sends condolences to the R82 accident families

​Gauteng MEC for Roads and transport, Ismail Vadi has expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the nine passengers who died during a horrific accident on the R82 near Walkerville.

The accident happened yesterday morning when a taxi swerved on the side of the road and hit a concrete bus stop, leaving nine people dead, five with serious injuries and the driver with minor injuries.

MEC Vadi said that he wishes those who are injured a speedy recovery.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased during this time of grief and speedy recovery to the injured,” MEC Vadi said.
He further urged drivers across the province to always exercise caution and patience on the roads.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
