Umbrellas popular accessory at SOPA 2017

​Bright and beautiful: Gauteng MEC for Social Development Nandi Mayathula Khoza and Treasury and Finance MEC Barbara Creecy wore orange printed dresses to the Gauteng SOPA 2017.
​The wet weather at the Greenhills Stadium in Randfontein forced many of the guests in attendance to add umbrellas to their carefully co-ordinated ensembles.
 
Despite the rain there was still an opportunity for those attending to walk the red carpet.
 
While Premier David Makhura and his wife Mpho opted for a black suit and black dress respectively many other guests opted for more bold colours.
 
Gauteng MEC for Social Development Nandi Mayathula Khoza and Treasury and Finance MEC Barbara Creecy both opted for orange dresses while yellows and reds also proved to be popular colours on the day.
 
Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi donned a blue suit and MEC for Community Safety Sizakele Nkosi-Malobane selected a silver and blue two piece for the annual occasion.
 
The Democractic Alliance’s John Moody who is the Provincial leader of the Party chose a grey suit while Members of the EFF in the Gauteng Legislature could be seen in their signature red overalls and hard hats.
